FROM PEEBLES/EDINBURGH:

Either: Turn right at the end of the High Street and follow the A72 up the Old Town and out of town. Pass Neidpath Castle. Take first turning on left signposted “Manor Head” & “Kirkton Manor”. Go over the Tweed Bridge and follow road through Kirkton Manor past the church. Turn first left at signpost “Peebles via Cademuir”, over metal bridge, over cattle grid. Milton Cottage is 200 meters on the right on a left hand bend.

 

Or: Going via Cademuir, turn left at the end of the High Street, over the Tweed Bridge, bear right up Springhill Road, first right opposite Tennis Courts, then immediately first left on to Bonnington Road. Continue out of town for about 4 miles—past Cademuir Farm—Milton Cottage is on the left on a right hand bend by the Manor Water.

 

FROM GLASGOW/ WEST:

On the A 72, pass sign to Lyne Station on right, after 3/4 mile watch out for quarry on left. Take sharp right turn signposted to “Manor Head” & “Kirkton Manor”. Go over the Tweed Bridge and follow road through Kirkton Manor past the church. Turn first left at signpost “Peebles via Cademuir”, over metal bridge, over cattle grid. Milton Cottage is 200 meters on the right on a left hand bend.
